Why are we here?

First of all, there is no we.  It's just me, one over 50-year-old, black woman trying to run a business on the internet.  I have no idea what I'm doing, have very little social media experience, or marketing experience, or business acumen or ... okay.  This is getting depressing.  Let's focus on what I do know.

I've been creative all my life.  My hobbies have included painting, mosaic tiling, scrapbooking, cardmaking, and cross-stitching to name a few.  After working in 8-5 offices throughout my adulthood and getting laid off from my last job in 2022, I started to wonder what I could do to make a living during this second half of my life.  Wouldn't it be great if I could actually earn money doing something I love?  Now there's a concept!

That's why The Tangy Tee Shop exists.  It was so named because I happen to love alliteration and images of fruit.  My designs are based on my scrapbooking experience and a desire to showcase women, especially black women, in a positive light.  The shop is also filled with any other design that happened to come to mind.
